Timeless.

We talk in terms of opposites. We had a good meal, or a bad night’s sleep. We felt cold as opposed to hot, happy in contrast to sad. Time is also viewed in such a way.

We talk about the past or the future – but even when we talk about the present moment, we are referring to it as opposed to something which is opposite. If not now, then. If not this, that.

Everything is relational to something else, including the present moment.

Living in the present moment, the now, isn’t just about letting go of the past and the future, it is also about letting go of the now. There is just this, and nothing else, a timelessness – an emptiness, which is at the same time full and now.

It may seem hard to grasp and contradictory, and it is, especially to minds which have been conditioned to think in terms of time, and duality, but you are capable of knowing this, even if just for a second. When you do, you will feel it and understand, however ‘fleeting’. Here-in lies enlightenment, the falling away of the scales from the eyes.
